There's no such thing as an artificial ground. What about an artificial garden?

A garden is defined by life, by organic growth and change. Even if we construct it by choosing the soil, the plants and the arrangement, it remains an ecosystem beyond full control.

So, is an artificial garden just a decorative illusion, or could it be something else: an experiment in redefining nature itself?
